Commemorative medal, gold or bronze metal with blue lettering that reads "Utah Semi-Centennial;" attached to an off-white worn ribbon that reads "Pioneer '47"; gold medallion with Brigham Young, a beehive, a wagon, Pony Express insignia, a train, and four bees.

From accession records in USHS 1981-046 (another Bennion family file). Samuel R. Bennion's semi-centennial pioneer jubilee metal donated by Ethel Bennion Richards. Original donor was Mrs. Chester P. Cahoon (Salt Lake City, UT).
