Crystal Clark

Crystal Clark, an IT worker, has a passion for fiber arts and for the entire process from fleece to piece.

She is primarily a knitter and spinner, although she has also done crochet and weaving. She admits that the most enjoyable and fulfilling process is spinning. She uses both a wheel (named "Esmeralda") and a drop spindle. She knits as a way to get rid of all the yarn she creates.

Crystal has been an active member of the Fiber Outlaws group for 6-7 years. This is a group of fiber artists that meet once a month to socialize, work on projects, seek advice, and have fun. Twice a year they gather for a three-day retreat where they dig into pieces and enjoy each others’ company.  Once or twice a year they meet at the heritage museum for a public demonstration.

The Fiber Outlaws officially has over 20 members. They also partner with groups from the Wasatch Front. They do demonstrations at the Uintah County Fair, and at local schools on a regular basis.
