Biographical Text
Growing up on horseback in a family that was "horse poor" taught Lane Dilworth the value of hard work and the pride of accomplishment. That's probably why, at age sixteen, when he couldn't find the kind of equipment he needed, he just figured out how to make it! With a father who manages ranches, a mother who is an avid rider and sisters who are horse trainers, Lane soon found himself making bits and spurs for family and friends.
Their needs, and encouragement, kept him at it and gradually his hobby turned into a part-time occupation. Lane's distinctive blue metal pieces, overlaid with engraved silver, are priced so regular horse people can afford them--something that's as important to him as seeing others use and enjoy the equipment he has so carefully crafted.
