Biographical Text
From age eleven, summers and weekends spent working as a hand in Nevada helped shape Denny Lytle's future. There he met buckaroos and Mexican vaqueros whose abilities in handling animals and in making beautiful silver and leather equipment became his passions. Passing up an art scholarship, he studied agriculture, trained horses and participated in rodeo.
Though he and his wife pooled their talents to make jewelry, what Denny really wanted to do was make jewelry for horses! So when the opportunity came to attend Elmer Miller's Bit & Spur School, he went. Combining this intensive training with his natural abilities in drawing and design, Denny now produces bits and one-of-a-kind spurs, most of which are purchased by art collectors who value the old-time feeling his work evokes.
