Biographical Text

With family roots in the Uintah Basin, a saddle maker father who started off by working for the famous Newton Brothers Saddlery, and an early love for leather, it was natural that Brad McClellan would become a saddle maker! More than twenty years ago, after learning the necessary skills in his father's shop, Brad began making saddles for the working cowboy. Over the years he has joined forces with several partners, often in the saddle tree making business, and today is owner of the Dry Fork Saddle Company and the co-owner of Timberline Saddle Trees. From his eastern Utah shop, located in Maeser outside Vernal, he continues to build both custom-made saddles and a well-known production saddle distributed throughout the West under the name of McCall Saddles.
