Utah State Flag, printed rather than sewn. Gold fringe, white hoist with brass grommets.
Previous research and master file states this flag was used as the original standard at the Lt. Clarence E. Allen Post 409, a Salt Lake VFW post, first organized in April of 1920. It is said to have been the first VFW post established in Utah and for a time it was located at 833 S. 200 E. in Salt Lake City, a building originally constructed as a Jewish Synagogue in 1919.
